Role Overview

As a Risk and Financial Crime Operative you will be responsible for managing all aspects of transactions risk including fraud risk, suspicious financial activities, and/or high-risk clients. You will also provide the best customer experience and establish a strong relationship and trust with our users, acting as a second line customer support operative.


Core Responsibilities

  • Monitoring transactions and ensuring that all comply with company policies
  • Conducting risk and compliance assessment, identifying trends in frauds patterns
  • Conducting additional checks on clients and/or transactions in selected cases
  • Responding to chargeback disputes and law enforcement requests
  • Documenting fraud cases and preparing risk analysis reports
  • Responding to user queries via live chat in a swift and pragmatic way
  • Following up with users to ensure their issues are resolved
  • Gathering user feedback and sharing it with the team to ensure the excellence of our service.


Requirements

  • Initially, this position is remote in the US, but will transition to in-person in Miami as early as June 2022
  • +2 years of proven experience in financial crime and/or fraud risk management role
  • Native (or near-native/proficient) English speaker
  • Familiarity with various blockchains and ideally with fintech and payment systems
  • Strong fraud prevention and analytical skills preferably acquired in the US market
  • Experience in fraud prevention and/or transaction monitoring and AML practices
  • Strong Excel knowledge to prepare and analyze data sets
  • Self-starter and problem-solver skills
  • Ability to handle tough cases
  • Willingness to work in shifts
  • Experience with blockchain monitoring tools is a plus
  • Experience in Customer Support Agent or a similar role is a plus
  • Familiarity with information technology or basic programming is a plus
  • Knowledge of process mapping/description and/or conversion of practices into formal procedures is a plus
