You will be the principal design leader responsible for all end-to-end digital experiences and brand touchpoints, as well as design strategy and execution at scale. You'll define and build out the team; oversee and support Product Design Leads and UX Leads. Collaborate across departments and with cross-functional team members to create and deliver the finest experiences for our partners and consumers. You will help us recruit, grow, and retain the world’s brightest design talent, as well as mentor teams and guide partners in empathising with client concerns.
together with Product and Engineering Heads, own the vision and roadmap for Ramp’s entire product suite, spanning consumers, business partners, and Ramp’s own team,
grow, organise, lead, manage, and mentor a team of talented designers,
co-own defining and keeping user journeys up-to-date, making a complex tech-enabled service as simple and delightful as possible,
execute as a people leader and as an individual contributor in various scenarios - doing what it takes to achieve the best results for Ramp’s users and business,
own creation and validation of user-centric designs based on a deep understanding of our users from research and discovery, quantitative data, usability testing, and intuition,
connect Product Design with Brand and Marketing, ensure cohesiveness of visual communication across brand touchpoints,
collaborate closely with engineering to deliver the desired UX,
develop our internal UX Writing and UX Research functions,
continuously refine the process of collaboration and information exchange between product designers and other product team members, foster a data-driven decision making approach, coach the team to run A/B tests and experiments,
oversee building out and maintaining Ramp's Design System,
coordinate creation and maintenance of Ramp's UX Integration Guide.
7+ years of product design or other relevant experience with managing the UX for sophisticated B2B and B2C consumer software and tech-enabled services
2+ years of hiring, managing, and mentoring a team of 3+ designers,
deep empathy for our users and a genuine desire to help them,
comfortable leading and growing teams, executing through change, uncertainty, and ambiguity,
talent for prioritisation, structured thinking, self and team organisation,
proven ability to oversee the delivery of a cohesive brand experience across multiple touchpoints; connecting product with commercial design
expertise in user research - ranging from scrappy to best-in-class processes,
excellence in capturing, analysing, and applying quantitative and qualitative data; ability to best leverage our brilliant Data team; running A/B tests and experiments, transmuting raw data into valuable information to drive decision making,
excellent verbal and written communication (English - at least C1-level),
passion for shaping and modelling workplace culture, such as inclusiveness, collaboration, empathy, and committing to a direction despite disagreement,
passion for distilling complexity into elegant, intuitive UX,
understanding the difference between truly simplifying complexity vs making something simple by ignoring its complexity,
